This is a condition called central vein stenosis. It develops among patients on hemodialysis who previousy had dialysis catheters in their neck with functional AV fistula in the arm. They present with enlargement or edema of the the arm, face and chest with prominent veins on the affected arm. This can be reversed with prompt consultation to a vascular surgeon for Venoplasty
