🧠Good eye health is vital for a child's brain development. Vision fuels the brain with data. It helps build hand-eye coordination, spatial skills, and learning. Poor sight can delay cognitive and motor growth

👀The Philippine Eye Research Institute (PERI) recommend that all children undergo vision screening for lazy eye (amblyopia) and crossed eyes (strabismus) at least once using an age-appropriate chart.

👶🏻At 6 Months: Screen for basic eye health and structural problems.
🧒🏻At 2 to 3 Years: Check visual acuity and eye alignment.
👦🏻At 5 Years (Preschool/Kindergarten entry): Formal vision screening before school starts to catch refractive errors early.
🧑🏻For school age (6+ years): Routine follow-up exams every 1 to 2 years.

The PPS does not recommend independent social media use among children aged 16 years and below and advocates for stronger child protection through safer platform design and shared responsibility among families, schools, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and technology companies.
