Your Hands Can Help, Your Heart Can Heal!
Last October 7, 2026, the NU Fairview Function Hall became a space for learning, compassion, and service as the NU Fairview Health Services Office (HSO) and Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC), in collaboration with the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO), successfully conducted the Mental Health First Aid Training for RCYC officers and members.
The highlight of the event was the participation of our inspiring alumni resource speakers, Ms. Mary Christian Acosta, RPm, currently affiliated with the RCYC Quezon City Chapter, and Ms. Ashley Bea Parohinog, an ABA Therapist. Both are proud BS Psychology Alumni, Batch 2025, and former RCYC officers who returned to share their expertise on Psychological First Aid. Through their engaging discussion, participants gained valuable insights and practical skills on how to provide support, respond with empathy, and promote mental well-being not only within their communities but also in their own personal lives.
This meaningful collaboration underscores the value of alumni engagement, demonstrating that education and service continue beyond graduation. By sharing their knowledge and experiences, our alumni exemplify how Nationalians can create a lasting impact and inspire the next generation through meaningful contributions to the community.
