Adding to the celebration was an insightful Lay Forum hosted by our valued partners, bringing together healthcare professionals, patients, families, and members of the community for an engaging discussion on heart health, prevention, and the importance of making healthier choices every day.

From raising awareness to sharing knowledge, every conversation is a step toward a healthier heart and a healthier community.

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration meaningful, and to our partners for helping make heart health education more accessible to the people who need it most.

❤️ A Mission of Healing, Collaboration, and Service

The Philippine Heart Center’s five-day cardiovascular technical assistance and capacity-building mission at the Governor Celestino Gallares Multi-Specialty Medical Center in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, has come to a close.

More than a surgical mission, this undertaking was an opportunity to bring together healthcare professionals from both institutions in a shared commitment to strengthening cardiovascular care in Bohol and surrounding communities.

Through clinical mentoring, case discussions, lectures, hands-on learning, and the management of cardiovascular cases, the mission fostered knowledge exchange and strengthened the skills and confidence of local healthcare teams. It also opened opportunities for continued collaboration between the Philippine Heart Center and Governor Celestino Gallares Multi-Specialty Medical Center.

As this first PHC cardiovascular technical assistance activity at the facility concludes, we look forward to the continued growth of local capacity and the delivery of timely, quality cardiovascular services closer to the communities that need them.

To our our PHC team and everyone who made this mission possible, we are deeply grateful for your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to healing hearts.

The Philippine Heart Center joins the Department of Health and the Filipino people in mourning the passing of the OIC Assistant Secretary of Health of Cluster B, and the Concurrent Director IV of the Health Facility Development Bureau, Dr. Melissa T. Sena, MPH, DDM (May 13, 1973 - September 18, 2026).
