Avoid rashes from dirty makeup brushes! Here are simple steps on how to clean our favorite makeup tools ♡

1. Run the brush under lukewarm, running water
2. Fill any clean container with water and a few pumps of gentle shampoo
3. Swirl the brush repeatedly in the bowl and even on your palm.
4. Again, rinse the brush under running water
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the water’s clear of any residue
6. Squeeze out excess water and lay the brushes flat on a clean and dry towel.

Tip: Avoid rinsing the whole brush as it might loosen up the glue keeping the bristles in place. Rinse only the tips!

If there’s one skincare mistake I wish I could undo, it’s not seeking proper treatment for my acne sooner. It’s trying out different “medications” without proper counsel, hoping I’d eventually have clear skin.

Applying moisturizer within minutes after taking a bath while skin is still damp helps seal the moisture in, making it more effective in hydrating and protecting the skin barrier.

Other things to consider:

✅️ Ingredients in moisturizers matter! Make sure to apply the right moisturizer for your skin type.
❎️ Avoid hot showers. It strips the skin of the oil and moisture, making it dehydrated and prone to irritation.

❗️If your skin is experiencing redness, itching, and/or flaking, seek the expertise of a board-certified dermatologist.

Know your skin type before jumping into the hype.

✨A certain skincare product that is not working for you or is doing more harm than good might be the wrong one for your skin type.

✨Use the second photo as reference for determining your skin type and what form of product (I did moisturizer as an example) to choose under each one.
