2๏ธโƒฃ โ€œFreeโ€ hearing appointments arenโ€™t always completely free. Ask whatโ€™s included so you know what youโ€™re paying for.

3๏ธโƒฃ Earplugs are cool โ€” noise induced hearing loss is not!

4๏ธโƒฃ Protect your hearing by keeping the loudness of your earphones within 50% or less of your deviceโ€™s full volume capacity.

5๏ธโƒฃ Hearing loss has not been proven to cause dementia, and hearing aids are not a guaranteed way to prevent it.

Current evidence shows that hearing loss is a modifiable risk factor for dementia, and this is the reason why treating it matters in its own right, too.

The one you choose can affect your comfort, sound quality, and overall hearing experience.

Before choosing a hearing aid, ask about:
โ€ข Style โ€” BTE, RIC, or in-the-ear
โ€ข Technology โ€” what features match your hearing needs
โ€ข Fit โ€” will it sit comfortably and securely?
โ€ข Aftercare โ€” can it be adjusted as your needs change?

The right hearing aid isnโ€™t just about what looks good. It should be suited to your hearing loss and your everyday life. ๐Ÿ’™
