Our minds and bodies need rest to recover, yet not everyone has the same opportunity to slow down. Long working hours, financial struggles, demanding responsibilities, and limited access to basic resources can make rest feel impossible for many.
When people are constantly forced into survival mode, stress becomes more than an individual burdenโit becomes a social issue.
While self-care, therapy, and healthy coping strategies are important, mental health is also shaped by the conditions we live in.
Conversations about well-being should recognize that access to rest, safety, and stability is not equal for everyone. Creating a society where people can truly recover and thrive is a shared responsibility.
