To avoid calcium build up on your joints, take Vitamin K2

Vitamin K is an essential, fat-soluble nutrient our body needs for functions like healthy blood clotting. It comes in two forms:

Vitamin K1, (phylloquinone) found in leafy greens, vegetables, and some plant oils

Vitamin K2, (menaquinone) found in dairy, fermented foods, and animal products

You can also get vitamin K supplements, but clinical trials show that the vitamin K we consume from food is more effective in our bodies. Our bodies make some vitamin K in the colon, and most people get the rest of what they need from their diet.

Effects of Fast Walking to Cognitive Functions

50% Less Risk: The fastest 9% of participants in their 80s (those who walked at least 1.5 standard deviations faster than their same-age peers) were about 50% less likely to develop cognitive decline than their slower-moving counterparts.

The "Sixth Vital Sign": Neurologists and geriatricians frequently refer to walking pace (gait speed) as the "sixth vital sign" because walking requires simultaneous communication between the motor cortex, cerebellum, basal ganglia, vision, and balance systems. Fast walking is an indicator that these complex systems are aging well.

Preserving Brain Volume: "Super movers" showed a tendency to preserve the volume of their hippocampus—the brain’s hub for memory and navigation—which naturally shrinks as people age.

Brain Resilience: Interestingly, the study found that some of these fast walkers had brain plaques and tangles (abnormal proteins associated with Alzheimer’s disease) yet showed no symptoms of cognitive decline. This suggests that staying physically active and mobile helps the brain build resilience against age-related changes.
