In Memoriam | Prof. Valentin C. Dones III, PhD, PTRP

The Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PPTA), together with the entire physical therapy community, honors the life, service, and lasting contributions of Prof. Valentin C. Dones III, PhD, PTRP, former PPTA Vice President for Internal Affairs (2008–2010).

We remember his dedication to the profession, his meaningful service to the physical therapy community, and the legacy he leaves behind. His contributions will continue to inspire generations of physical therapists.

May his memory remain a source of inspiration to all whose lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Prof. Valentin. You will always remain in our hearts.

The Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PPTA) proudly celebrates the successful relaunch of the 𝐏𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, held on August 8, 2026, at Velez College.⁣

The relaunch marks a renewed commitment to bringing the Association closer to physical therapists in Cebu and strengthening opportunities for professional development, collaboration, advocacy, and meaningful engagement within the local PT community.⁣

Prior to the relaunch, an introductory course on clinical education, "𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 & 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴," was conducted by the 𝐏𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬' 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical strategies for effective clinical teaching. A Professional Forum also followed, providing a venue for meaningful dialogue on relevant issues affecting the physical therapy profession and the Association.⁣
