Comment “TLR” to find out if the TLR reflex may create ADHD-like symptoms and a simple test to see if it’s retained.

If a child has a retained TLR reflex, you may find trouble with the following:

👋Riding a bike
👋Clumsy, trips or runs into walls and furniture
👋Has no sense of direction
👋Delays with eye-hand coordination, reading and writing

Many of these delays can create challenges when kids are trying to learn and progress in the classroom.

To find out more about the TLR reflex, comment “TLR” and we’ll send you the link.

Some children and teens are not “acting out” - they are overwhelmed.

Autistic meltdowns are not tantrums. They are not attention seeking. They are not a choice. They happen when a child becomes so overwhelmed by noise, change, demands or emotions that their brain goes into crisis mode. At that point, they cannot reason, explain or “just calm down”.

Many autistic children/teens spend all day trying to cope - masking, holding it together, managing sensory overload, confusion, and stress. The meltdown is often what happens when there is nothing left in the tank.

Punishment, shouting or forcing eye contact does not teach anything in that moment. It only adds more pressure to an already overwhelmed child.

What helps is calm, space, reduced demands and feeling safe.

When we stop asking “what is wrong with this child?” and start asking “what has overwhelmed them?” everything changes.

To build pencil grip you need…

4 foundational elements that support a child’s pencil grip skills for handwriting development.

Handwriting skills take a lot of work and often don’t come naturally. Like anything else, handwriting is a skill that is developed as it is practiced and perfected over time.

However, when children haven’t developed certain foundational skills, handwriting skills often fall behind or become frustrating for the student.

And, it’s not only fine motor skills that must be improved. There are other areas you may not even think about when it comes to handwriting that supports:

✏️Letter directionality
✏️Letter Formation
✏️Letter Reversals
✏️Pencil pressure

…and much more!

To find out what all 4 foundational elements support a child’s pencil grip and handwriting development, comment below 👇and we’ll send you the link or grab the link in our profile.

It’s NOT just play dough…
It’s one of the easiest ways to support your child’s development through play. ⭐

Play dough is one of the most effective sensory materials in early childhood because it is open-ended, adaptable for all ages, and deeply engaging. Even better, it can be made easily at home.

👉 Simple No-Cook Play Dough Recipe
• 1 cup flour
• ½ cup salt
• 1 tbsp oil
• ½ cup warm water (add gradually)
• Optional: food colouring or scent

Mix until a soft dough forms. Adjust with flour or water as needed.

Play dough may look simple, but the learning behind it is anything but.

A child’s balance system develops…

in its own timeline. However, there are some milestones or guidelines to help you determine if your child is progressing.

You may not realize it, but balance is an extremely important system to develop that supports a child’s future learning. Children who have fine-tuned their balance skills when they were younger have better:

⚖ Attention and focus
⚖ Core stability to copy notes from the chalkboard
⚖ Can sit for longer periods of time in their chair
⚖ Provides stability for handwriting and reading development

To find out if your child or students are reaching some of their balance milestones or are on their way, do the following:
