Brushing your teeth before breakfast helps remove the bacteria and plaque that build up in your mouth overnight. It also coats your teeth with fluoride from your toothpaste, helping protect your enamel from the acids in breakfast foods and drinks.
If you eat first, especially acidic foods like citrus fruits or juice, brushing immediately afterward can temporarily wear down softened enamel. If you prefer brushing after breakfast, it's best to wait at least 30 minutes before brushing.
Start your day with a healthy smile by brushing before breakfast and keeping up with regular dental check-ups.
