When a hazard almost leads to an accident, it should never be ignored. Reporting near misses helps workplaces identify risks early, strengthen controls, and prevent future incidents before someone gets hurt.

In safety, “almost happened” is still something we need to act on.

Engr. Fernando R. Ramos, ChE, Chairman of the ASPPI Board of Trustees, brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in environment, health, safety, security, ESG, regulatory compliance, and risk management. A Licensed Chemical Engineer and Accredited Safety Consultant, he has led EHSS programs across major manufacturing and beverage organizations nationwide.

Through his experience and commitment to service, Engr. Ramos continues to champion stronger safety standards, responsible leadership, and resilient workplaces for Filipino professionals and industries.
