Connecting Kaigo Experience with Dementia Awareness 🇯🇵🇵🇭

There is so much knowledge that Filipino care workers bring home after years of working within Japan’s nursing care system. The question is: How can that experience continue to make a difference after they return to the Philippines?

This October 24, Purple Angel Asia Pacific joins JICWELS at the Networking Kaigo Event for Filipino returnees who have worked in nursing care in Japan.

As part of the program, Junichi “Jack” Fukui and Jiil Arsenal will conduct a dementia care workshop designed not only to share knowledge, but also to create a space where returning Filipino care workers can contribute their own experiences, perspectives, and expertise.

Purple Angel Asia Pacific will also share some of the dementia awareness work being developed across communities in the Philippines, opening possibilities for returnees to see how the knowledge they gained in Japan can find new purpose here at home.

This is something we continue to value in our work across Asia Pacific: connecting people, experience, and good practices across countries, then creating opportunities for these ideas to take root within local communities.

Because returning home does not have to mean leaving valuable experience behind. It can be the beginning of sharing it with others.
