2026 PIC/S GMP and Validation Masterclass 5 on Premises and Equipment on July 16, 2026 at Acacia Hotel was a blockbuster. The module presented by Engr Jose Arnel Cabungcal explored the principles governing facility and equipment suitability, focusing on contamination prevention, efficient workflow, adequate controls for environmental conditions, and proper maintenance and sanitation practices. Participants reviewed GMP requirements for manufacturing areas and equipment, including expectations for cleanability, calibration, identification, and prevention of contamination or errors; and actively participated in two workshops - FMEA on cross-contamination cases related to premises and equipment and another on designing HVAC filtration system for cleanroom.
