Three of us came in to try their food as we were curious having good reviews and craving for chicken wings at the same time.
An attentive female staff gave us the menu and politely explained options of getting 4pc wings with rice for p169 and even offered option if we're big eaters to try to avail their unli wings for p234.
As asked to know the size of the wing(whole or cut into 2pcs), the staff explained that it is whole(contrary to what we saw on other tables and the face she's giving us) so I let my 2 friends order first then I'll decide if I'll have 4pcs or unli wings.
One can't eat much and decided to have 4pcs and the other one will get unli.
Here starts the confusion, the female crew was unable to explain properly that if one is getting unli then all of us on the table should get unli as well to avoid sharing of food.
So, I asked for the manager. The guy then tried to explain what was highlighted on the menu "NO LEFT OVERS AND STRICTLY NO SHARING OF FOOD" which we totally understood. However, if one of us is getting unli then all of us must avail unli as well to avoid sharing of wings. Just like entering a buffet resto that requires customer to pay for the full price even if one is consuming a small portion of what was offered on the buffet table.
How dare you dear manager to compare your resto to a buffet resto? Your staff offered us options and in the end to not allow us to avail those options offered since not everyone on the table can consume the same amount of food to be served.
How dare you to require customers to pay for something that they can't consume yet options are on the menu? (UNFAIR!!)
Then we asked, so if will stick to it, are you gonna transfer the non unli to another table? The good manager strongly replied "Yes, as it is our policy" (which is not stated on anywhere in the resto and not even stated on the menu) "I'll let my staff here to handle your concerns" then left us to cut the conversation as if telling us "take it or you may leave".
And that's the kind of service we got.
Just my 2 cents:
Running a restaurant doesn't stop at having the best food served, it is also partnered with service provided to customer. It is not always what the restaurant will gain, but being fair with customers, which whom you know might bring in more business to you in the future. It should be a win-win solution being provided by this so called "Manager". You better undergo training. Unfortunately, you just let us walk away..
Requiring customers to avail more than what they can consume is a big NO!!
Your policy of requiring a group of how many people in one table to avail unli if one is having unli wings will continue, I bet, you'll get negative impact to customers and future clients as well. Better to remove other options then just stick to unli wings for all just to avoid confusion and makes it easier for your staff to explain. At least, no questions ask in terms of customer's integrity!! Right?
In this case, its your lost, not ours, as there are other restaurants offers the same food as you do.. Competition is real!!
