Nagtapos ang selebrasyon ng ika-97 Anibersaryo ng UP Health Service (UPHS) sa ginanap na Awarding Ceremony noong 11 Setyembre 2026.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga kawani at retirado ng UP Health Service, kasama ang kanilang mga pamilya. Dumalo rin at nagbigay ng mensahe sina UP President Atty. Angelo Jimenez, UP Diliman Chancellor Atty. Edgardo Carlo Vistan II, at OVCCA Vice Chancellor Prop. Jerwin Agpaoa.

𝟕𝟕% 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐐𝐂, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝-𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞

Patuloy na hinihikayat ng Quezon City Health Department (QCHD) ang publiko na mag-ingat laban sa leptospirosis, lalo na sa panahon ng pag-ulan at pagbaha. Hangga't maaari, iwasan ang paglusong sa baha upang malayo sa panganib na dulot ng sakit na ito.

Batay sa Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD) surveillance data mula January 1 hanggang September 10, 2026, nakapagtala ang lungsod ng 821 na kabuuang kaso ng leptospirosis. Sa bilang na ito, 630 kaso o 76.74% ang may flood-related exposure.

Ipinakikita ng datos na nananatiling mahalagang risk factor ang exposure sa tubig-baha sa pagkakaroon ng leptospirosis.

Ang Leptospira bacteria ay maaaring matagpuan sa tubig o putik na kontaminado ng ihi ng infected na hayop, partikular ng daga. Maaaring makapasok ang bacteria sa katawan sa pamamagitan ng mga sugat, galos, o mucous membranes gaya ng mata, ilong, at bibig.

Patuloy na hinihikayat ang publiko na iwasang lumusong sa baha, may sugat man o wala. Kung hindi maiiwasan, gumamit ng angkop na proteksiyon gaya ng bota at gloves, at agad na maghugas at maglinis ng katawan pagkatapos ng exposure.

🏆 UP Health Service receives “Stakeholder Centricity” Special Citation at the first UP Diliman QAhusayan Fair 2026!

The UP Health Service (UPHS) proudly participated in the first UP Diliman QAhusayan Fair 2026, held at Palma Hall, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, from September 7–11, 2026, and received the “Stakeholder Centricity” Special Citation Award.

The UPHS poster, “Skip the Lines! Book Your PEHA Online!”, presented by our Director, Dr. Oliva Salvador Basuel, showcased how UPHS streamlined its Pre-enrolment Health Assessment (PEHA) process for approximately 8,000 incoming UP Diliman students each year.

Through a Scheduled Appointment System and a more decentralized approach that gives students the option to undergo their assessment, or specific components of it, at their preferred healthcare facilities, UPHS has helped reduce physical bottlenecks, long queues, repeated visits, and waiting time while making the process more accessible and student-centered.

This initiative reflects UPHS’s commitment to quality healthcare service and our continuing pursuit of excellence through a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. 💚❤️

This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the UPHS community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Oliva Salvador Basuel, Ma’am Vicka Madriaga, the UPHS Records Section, the UPHS PEHA Committee headed by Dr. Aliza Pangaibat, the UPHS Public Health Section, and everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative. 🎉

We also recognize and appreciate our former director, Dr. Myrissa Melinda Lacuna-Alip, whose support and hands-on leadership in facilitating the project’s approval and implementation during her term contributed greatly to its realization.

Patuloy ang pagdiriwang ng ika-97 Anibersaryo ng UP Health Service (UPHS) sa pamamagitan ng mga gawaing nagtataguyod ng kalusugan.

Ngayong 11 Setyembre 2026, isinagawa ang Fun Walk at Libreng Dance Fitness Session sa pangunguna ni UPHS Director Dr. Oliva Salvador-Basuel at ng UPHS Administrative Section, ang punong tagapag-organisa ng selebrasyon. Nilahukan ito ng mga kawani ng UPHS at mga miyembro ng UP Community Chest Foundation, Inc. (UPCCFI).

“Siyam na Dekada: Husay at Tatag, sa Ika-97 Taon ay Patuloy sa Paglalayag”

Sa loob ng halos isang siglo, patuloy na naghahatid ang UP Health Service ng de-kalidad, makatao, at makabuluhang serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa komunidad ng UP Diliman.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng ika-97 Anibersaryo ng UP Health Service, matagumpay na isinagawa ang Libreng Health Lecture Series at Libreng Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) at Cholesterol Screening ngayong Setyembre 9, 2026, sa Public Health Section, UP Health Service.

Tinalakay sa mga health lecture ang mahahalagang paksa sa disaster preparedness, pag-iwas sa mpox, at stress management upang mapalawak ang kaalaman at kamalayan ng komunidad sa pangangalaga sa kalusugan.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa aming mga tagapagsalita—Nurse Lauro Reyes, Dr. Genevieve Sadaya, at Dr. Debbie Langones—gayundin sa lahat ng lumahok, sa aming partner na UP Community Chest Foundation, Inc., sa mga organizers, sa aming mga sponsors na Unilab Primary Care at JCS Pharmaceuticals Inc., at sa lahat ng nakiisa sa makabuluhang pagdiriwang na ito.
