1. Describe and Guess
Pumili ng familiar object without showing it then give clues like “ginagamit natin pang-inom” or “kulay red at kinakain.” This practices vocabulary organization, and word retrieval.

2. Solve The Problem
During pretend play gumawa ng simple problem like “Ay hindi ma-open ni Teddy yung box, ano kaya pwede niyang gawin?” This encourages expressive language and problem-solving instead na puro naming or repeating.

3. Photo Story Challenge
Gumamit ng 2 to 3 pictures from your child’s day then tulungan siyang sabihin kung ano ang nangyari first, next, and last. This develops narrative sequencing and recall using experiences na familiar sa kanya.

Kaya niyang magkwento pero maayos ba ang sequence?

25/08/2026

1. Expand What They Say
Kapag sinabi niyang “car,” dagdagan lang naturally into “red car” or “car go” instead na pilitin siyang ulitin. Tinatawag itong language expansion at nakakatulong para marinig niya kung paano humahaba ang ideas into phrases and sentences.

2. Create Request Moments
Ilagay muna slightly out of reach ang favorite toy or snack para magkaroon siya ng reason to point, gesture, or ask for help. This builds functional communication and communicative intent instead na hulaan agad ng adult ang gusto niya.

3. Describe While Playing
Habang naglalaro, sabihin kung ano ang ginagawa niya like “car is fast,” “baby sleeping,” or “block fell” instead na puro questions. This gives consistent language modeling habang connected ang words sa actual action.

4. Practice Back-and-Forth Talk
During meals or play, magpalitan ng simple comments and questions then bigyan siya ng time para sumagot or magdagdag. Nakakatulong ito sa turn-taking, initiation, and pragmatic language.

5. Tell The Day
Before bedtime, balikan ang dalawang or tatlong nangyari that day using “first,” “next,” and “last.” This strengthens narrative language, sequencing, and expressive language habang ginagamit ang sariling experiences ng bata.

Possible itong makita sa lexical retrieval or word-finding skills, which can affect explaining and classroom communication.

1. May words pero hindi functional
Nakakapag-label ng colors, objects, or animals pero bihirang gamitin ang words para humingi, tumanggi, sumagot, or mag-share ng idea. Tinitingnan dito ng SLP ang functional communication and communicative intent para makita kung ginagamit niya talaga ang language with purpose.

2. Nakakasunod dahil kabisado ang routine
Mukhang naiintindihan ang instructions pero kapag bago ang direction or walang gesture nahihirapan siyang sumunod. Dito chine-check ang receptive language and auditory comprehension para malaman kung language ba talaga ang naiintindihan niya or familiar cues lang ang sinusundan.

3. Nagsasalita pero limited ang back-and-forth
May words or sentences pero bihirang mag-initiate, mag-follow up, or manatili sa topic. Part ito ng pragmatic language kung saan tinitingnan ang initiation, conversational turn-taking, topic maintenance, and appropriate responses.

4. Parents understand but others struggle
Sanay na ang family sa pronunciation niya pero teachers, relatives, or unfamiliar listeners often ask him to repeat. Tinitingnan dito ang speech intelligibility and speech sound production including patterns of sound substitutions, omissions, or distortions.

20/08/2026

1. Tell Me More
After school or playtime, ask “Ano nangyari?” then follow with “Sino kasama mo?” or “Ano nangyari next?” para ma-practice ang narrative language.

2. I Spy Game
Describe an object without naming it like “bilog siya at nasa wall” then let your child guess and take turns describing. This helps build vocabulary, listening, and descriptive language.

3. Pretend Play Talk
Maglaro ng bahay, school, doctor, or store and let the characters ask, answer, request, and solve simple problems. Nakakatulong ito sa pragmatic language and conversational skills.

4. Follow My Steps
Give simple multi-part directions like “kunin mo ang spoon then ilagay sa table” and gradually add another step kapag kaya na niya. This practices receptive language and auditory comprehension.

19/08/2026

Hindi lahat ng tantrum ay simpleng “ayaw sumunod” dahil minsan communication breakdown na pala. 💛

18/08/2026

1. Choice + Request Game
Mag-offer ng two choices like “apple or banana?” then wait muna bago ibigay para magkaroon siya ng chance tumuro, magsabi ng word, or gumawa ng request. Kapag one word lang ang sinabi niya like “apple,” pwede niyong i-expand naturally into “want apple” or “more apple.”

2. Talk During Play
Habang naglalaro, gumamit ng short and repeatable phrases like “car go,” “baby sleep,” “open box,” or “more blocks” instead na puro questions. Sundan ang interest niya and model simple two-word combinations para marinig niya ang language habang may actual meaning and action.

17/08/2026

1. Madalas hindi pa rin maintindihan ang speech niya
Kung teachers, classmates, or unfamiliar people frequently ask him to repeat, magandang i-check ang speech intelligibility and speech sound production.

2. Marami pa ring sound errors na nakakaapekto sa words
Kung may frequent substitutions or omissions na nagpapahirap maintindihan ang sinasabi niya, possible concern ito sa speech sound development.

3. Hirap magkwento nang organized
Kung kaya niyang magsalita pero magulo kung ano ang first, next, bakit nangyari, and paano nagtapos, tinitingnan dito ang narrative language.

4. Hirap umintindi ng classroom instructions
Kung nalilito siya sa multi-step directions or kailangan laging ulitin ang instructions, magandang tingnan ang receptive and auditory language comprehension.

5. Hirap ipaliwanag ang sariling ideas
Kung alam niya ang sagot pero nahihirapang buuin at ipaliwanag ang “why,” “how,” or sariling opinion, possible concern ito sa expressive language.

6. Hirap panatilihin ang conversation
Kung nakakasagot pero hirap mag-follow up, manatili sa topic, or ayusin ang message kapag hindi siya naintindihan, tinitingnan dito ang pragmatic language and conversational repair.

7. Madalas hirap hanapin ang tamang words
Kung maraming “ano,” “yung ano,” or pauses dahil hirap niyang maalala at gamitin ang specific word na kailangan niya, magandang tingnan ang word retrieval and expressive language.
