The Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) for Barangays Ambasing and Dagdag was successfully concluded at the Dagdag Barangay Hall, bringing together the constituents of both barangays in a collaborative effort to strengthen community awareness, improve access to essential government services, and promote the health and well-being of every family.
The activity was attended by representatives from various national and local government agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Provincial Engineering Office, Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Engineering Office, Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO). Each agency shared valuable information about its programs and services, empowering residents with knowledge and opportunities that contribute to community development.
As part of the health services offered, Dr. Oliver Umhao, DTTB, conducted free medical consultations, ensuring that community members received appropriate health assessment and medical advice. The DOH-HRH team facilitated the taking of vital signs and assisted in the completion of Individual Treatment Records (ITRs) to support an organized and efficient consultation process. Meanwhile, Ms. Yami Mayngo and Ms. Harriet Agwiking successfully facilitated the YAKAP Registration, helping eligible residents access essential government health services.
A significant part of the program was the health education session on the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA). The importance of protecting children through timely vaccination was clearly explained to the community, emphasizing that the MRSIA vaccine helps prevent serious illnesses and protects children aged 6 to 59 months from measles and rubella. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed to reinforce the key messages, and the community was informed of the scheduled vaccination to encourage parents and caregivers to have their eligible children vaccinated.
