DepEd San Fernando City Conducts ALS Orientation and Releases 2025 A&E Test Results at TRC La Union
City of San Fernando, La Union – The Department of Education (DepEd) Region I, through the Schools Division Office of the City of San Fernando, La Union, conducted an orientation on the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and released the results of the 2025 Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test on March 29, 2026, at the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (TRC) La Union, designated as an Extension Testing Center.
The event highlighted the educational achievements of the ALS learners from the center. Of the twelve (12) Junior High School A&E test takers, all successfully passed the examination, resulting in a 100 percent passing rate and qualifying them for enrollment in Grade 11 under the Senior High School program.
Meanwhile, the Elementary Level recorded a 50 percent passing rate, with two (2) learners successfully qualifying for Grade 7.
Ms. Marie Camille S. Hufana, Education Program Supervisor, delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the importance of education and the opportunities provided by the Alternative Learning System. She encouraged learners to pursue higher educational attainment through ALS as a means of improving their skills, personal development, and quality of life.
As part of the activity, Ms. Glenny C. Vizcarra, one of the ALS Instructor, conducted an orientation for inpatients enrolled in the Residential Program regarding ALS opportunities and enrollment procedures for School Year 2026–2027.
The awarding of Certificates of Rating to the successful examinees was led by Mr. Raymund I. Marzan, Education Program Specialist II–ALS. The recognition ceremony celebrated the learners' hard work, perseverance, and commitment to continuing their education despite challenges.
The activity reaffirmed DepEd's commitment to providing inclusive and accessible learning opportunities, ensuring that every Filipino learner has the chance to achieve academic success and personal growth through the Alternative Learning System.
