V.L. Makabali Memorial Hospital, Inc. is a secondary hospital in the City of San Fernando, Pamp Founded on August 11, 1957 by its late foundress, the V.L.

was then known as V.L. Makabali Clinic, a six-bed Maternity Clinic. A few months later, the clinic housed ten beds with one operating room, one delivery room, ten nursery bassinets, a laboratory, and an X-ray room. Later, the clinic was made into a family corporation with all the surviving brothers and sisters as incorporators. It was then that the V.L. Makabali Clinic was renamed V.L.

This October, VL V.L. Makabali Memorial Hospital Inc. joins the global observance of 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, a time dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and highlighting the importance of breast health and early detection.

Our VLMMH employees come together to show their support and help spread a message that can make a difference: being informed about breast cancer and recognizing changes in breast health are important steps toward seeking timely medical care.

Breast cancer can affect women of different ages and backgrounds. Staying aware of possible changes, knowing your risk factors, and discussing concerns with a healthcare professional can help guide appropriate screening and evaluation.

As a healthcare institution, we remain committed to promoting health education and encouraging our community to take proactive steps toward their well-being.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 may not always cause noticeable symptoms in its early stages. That’s why being familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel can help you notice changes that may need medical evaluation.

Be aware of changes such as a new lump or thickening in the breast or underarm, changes in breast size or shape, changes in the skin of the breast, ni**le changes or unusual ni**le discharge, and persistent pain or other unusual changes.

Not every breast change means cancer, but any new or unusual change should be discussed with a healthcare professional for proper assessment.

This 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, let’s encourage one another to stay informed, pay attention to our breast health, and seek appropriate medical care when needed.

The elevator in our Outpatient Department (OPD) building was officially turned over yesterday and is now operational, serving our patients, visitors, and staff.

A clean and comfortable waiting area for relatives and patients at the cancer treatment unit, thoughtfully designed to provide a calm and supportive environment during a challenging journey. With air conditioning to help maintain a cool and relaxing atmosphere, this space aims to ease the stress and discomfort often felt while waiting for treatments.

Our goal is to ensure dignity, comfort, and compassion not only in treatment rooms but also in every corner of the facility, including the waiting area.
