As part of our commitment to promoting child health in the community, ITRMC Department of Pediatrics conducted an interactive health education activity for the Grade 6 students of Sagayad Elementary School in celebration of Lung Month and Hospital Week.
The session focused on va**ng and smoking prevention through an interactive discussion designed to encourage our students to make informed and healthy choices.
Because prevention starts with education—and healthy communities start with healthy children. 💙

🤱💗 PPS HAKAB ‘TA 2026
One Latch. One Love. One Nation.

A joyful and meaningful Hakab ‘Ta 2026 celebration was held today, August 14, 2026 at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center OB Ward, in collaboration with the Philippine Pediatric Society – Northern Luzon Chapter (PPSNL), Philippine Nurses Association La Union Chapter, La Union Medical Society, and Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society Northwestern Luzon Chapter.

Our postpartum mothers and breastfeeding mothers from the NICU and Pediatrics Department enjoyed a fun-filled morning with trivia games, and a raffle draw! 🎉🤱🎁

✨ Highlights of the celebration:
🤱 Hakab Ta Moment – mothers joined the simultaneous latching for one minute, celebrating the power of breastfeeding and the beautiful bond between mother and child.

Ngayong araw ay sama-sama nating ipinagdiriwang ang World Kidney Day. Ang tema natin ngayon ay "Caring for People, Protecting the Planet," na nagpapaalala sa atin na habang inaalagaan natin ang kalusugan ng ating mga bata, inaalagaan din natin ang mundong kanilang paglalakihan.

Sa ating mga batang pasyente at sa kanilang mga magulang at tagapag-alaga, maraming salamat sa inyong tiwala at pakikiisa sa paglalakbay tungo sa mas malusog na kinabukasan.
