DOH-CLCHD Conducts Onsite IMPACT Monitoring Visit for Infectious Diseases at JBLMGH
24 June 2026

The DOH-CLCHD Infectious Disease Cluster in coordination with JBLMGH Public Health Unit conducted the Onsite Integrated Monitoring of Programs for Actions, Collaboration, and Transformation (IMPACT) on June 24, 2026. This collaborative visit systematically assessed the functionality, efficiency, standard compliance, and referral pathways of the hospital's infectious disease programs, while identifying how DOH-CLCHD can provide technical and administrative assistance to sustain these services and enhance responsiveness to surges and Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases (EREID). The initiative gathered representatives from the DOH-CLCHD Infectious Disease Cluster (IDC), Local Health Support Division (LHSD), alongside JBLMGH PHUโ€™s specialized clinics (Animal Bite Treatment Center, Lingap Baga, and Bahay LInGAD), the Infection Prevention Control and Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (IPCESU), and the Emergency Department to strengthen the link between hospital-based infection prevention and community-level public health interventions.

Following the joint meeting, evaluation teams conducted onsite monitoring across key infectious disease initiatives, including the Lingap Baga (Tuberculosis) Clinic, Bahay Lingad (HIV- Hepa) Hub, the regionโ€™s first hospital-based Leprosy Clinic, the Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC), and the Malaria, Dengue, and Leptospirosis programs. Discussions highlighted progressive developments, including the recent inauguration of the Infectious Disease and Tropical Medicine Building. This multi-departmental collaboration reinforces the partnership between local health agencies and regional hospital units to optimize data sharing, improve referral pathways, and maximize program utilization across Pampanga.
