The Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) Department of Pathology proudly receives its Certificate of Accreditation from the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB), affirming its conformity to the internationally recognized ISO 15189:2022 standard for Medical Laboratories.
This milestone comes after successfully hurdling the rigorous accreditation assessment conducted by PAB on February 9โ13, 2026, where the Department demonstrated excellence in competence, reliability, quality management, and continual improvement in laboratory services. The accreditation stands as a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and collaborative efforts of our pathologists, resident physicians, medical technologists, and support personnel who remain committed to delivering accurate, timely, and patient-centered laboratory services.
This achievement carries national significance as the ITRMC Department of Pathology is now recognized as one of only six medical laboratories in the Philippines accredited to ISO 15189:2022 by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau.
