We’ve all given the advice… and some patients seem determined to do the exact opposite.

Smoking immediately after an extraction can dislodge the blood clot, delay healing, and significantly increase the risk of a painful dry socket (alveolar osteitis).

Sometimes the hardest part of dentistry isn’t the extraction… it’s convincing the patient to follow the post-op instructions. 😄
