𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. – 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞, 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐇𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, successfully conducted the 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐈 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the DCC Conference Room, TBNHI.

This activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of our healthcare workers and students in CLABSI prevention, infection control, and proper catheter care. Because in healthcare, every touch matters, every chance counts, and every clean line can help save a life. Understanding its risks, prevention, early recognition, and the importance of proper and safe catheter care. Through this activity, our healthcare workers and students were given an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and hands-on practices in maintaining catheter safety and preventing infections.

Because when it comes to patient safety, every touch matters, every chance counts, and every clean line can help save a life. 🧤🩸✨

🇵🇭🤝 Strengthening Partnerships in Healthcare

The Black Nazarene Hospital, Inc. (TBNHI) was honored to welcome the United States Embassy Manila Medical Unit during their courtesy visit and facility tour on August 10, 2026.

The delegation was composed of Dr. Matthew Hahn, Medical Director of the U.S. Embassy Health Unit Manila, Dr. Larry P**n, Regional Medical Officer, and Nurse Anchola Alagueña, Health Unit Nurse. They were warmly received by the TBNHI leadership headed by Dr. Jonathan G. Noble, Medical Director, and Mr. Josemarie Batangan, Chief Nurse.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange insights on healthcare services, patient referral systems, emergency preparedness, and the hospital's clinical capabilities. The delegation also toured key hospital areas, including the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, Intensive Care Unit, Imaging Services, and Patient Areas.

🧠 August 1, 2026 – IM Lecture Series: Stroke 101
As part of our continuing professional development program, Dr. Agnes Cariaga-Manalo, Neurologist, served as the resource speaker for the Stroke 101 lecture. Initiated by Dr. Lutece Krystle Blas-Delos Santos, Head of the Internal Medicine Department, the session equipped healthcare professionals with updated knowledge on stroke recognition, prevention, and management.

🧠 Advancing Clinical Excellence Through Continuous Learning

On August 1, 2026, The Black Nazarene Hospital, Inc. (TBNHI) in collaboration with Rotary Club of Health Keepers (RC Health Keepers) successfully conducted its Internal Medicine (IM) Lecture Series: Stroke 101, reinforcing the hospital's commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based patient care.

The session featured Dr. Agnes Cariaga-Manalo, Neurologist, as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights on stroke recognition, risk factors, prevention, timely management, and current clinical practices.

This educational initiative was spearheaded by the TBNHI's Head of the Internal Medicine Department, Dr. Lutece Krystle Blas-Delos Santos, as part of the department's ongoing commitment to enhancing the knowledge and competencies of healthcare professionals.

The lecture was attended by nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary personnel from the Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Physical Therapy Departments, fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration in improving patient outcomes.

🥗 TBNHI Supports National Nutrition Month 2026

On July 30, 2026, The Black Nazarene Hospital, Inc. (TBNHI) proudly participated in the LGU San Nicolas Culminating Activity for the 52nd National Nutrition Month held at Robinsons Ilocos.

As part of its commitment to promoting maternal and child health, TBNHI joined the recognition of Healthy Babies and A1 Children from the different barangays of San Nicolas, celebrating the collective efforts of parents, Barangay Health Workers, and healthcare partners in nurturing healthy and well-nourished children.

TBNHI also provided tokens and support for the awardees, reaffirming its dedication to community health promotion and preventive healthcare.

🌸 TBNHI in the Community | Sharing Knowledge for Better Maternal and Child Health

On July 28, 2026, Dr. Mary Jane B. Noble, Hospital Executive Officer of The Black Nazarene Hospital, Inc. and OB-Gyne Specialist, served as a resource speaker during the Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Seminar organized by the Municipal Health Office of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.

The seminar gathered Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), and members of the Committee on Women from the municipality's 24 barangays. Through this activity, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills in promoting maternal, newborn, and child health, helping build healthier families and communities.

TBNHI is honored to support initiatives that empower our frontline community health workers through continuous education and collaboration.
