Alam mo ba ang pinagkaiba ng Pulmonary TB (PTB) at Extrapulmonary TB (EPTB)? 🫁✨

Pulmonary TB (TB sa Baga): Ito 'yong nakakahawa sa pamamagitan ng pag-ubo, pagbahing, o pagsasalita.

Extrapulmonary TB (TB sa Labas ng Baga): Maaaring maapektuhan ang lymph nodes, spine, utak, at iba pang organs. Generally, hindi ito nakakahawa.

Paano gagamutin? 💊
- Pareho silang nagagamot sa pamamagitan ng TB-DOTS program gamit ang anti-TB drugs.
• Pulmonary TB: Karaniwang 6 na buwan.
• Extrapulmonary TB: Maaaring 9 hanggang 12 buwan.

⚠️ Paalala: Napakahalagang tapusin ang buong gamutan para maiwasan ang Drug-Resistant TB (MDR-TB)!

Alam mo ba na may dalawang uri ang Tuberculosis (TB)? 🫁✨

Hindi porke’t walang sintomas, ibig sabihin ay 100% free ka na sa TB. Importante na alam natin ang pagkakaiba ng Latent TB Infection (Tulog na TB) at Active TB Disease (Gising / Aktibong TB) para maprotektahan ang ating sarili at ang ating pamilya!

TB-HIV: Sama-sama sa Pag-iwas, Pagtuklas, at Paggamot! 🫁❤️

Healthy ka, mas ligtas ang komunidad! Alamin ang mahahalagang paalala laban sa TB at HIV:

💡 Paano Maiiwasan?
Mag-ART Araw-araw: Pinapalakas nito ang immune system ng PLHIV para maiwasan ang TB.

Kumpletuhin ang TPT: Tapusin ang TB Preventive Treatment para mapatay ang natutulog na bakterya.

Mag-mask & Siguraduhing Ventillated: Airborne ang TB, kaya iwasan ang saradong lugar.

Iwasan ang Yosi at Alak: Para hindi humina ang baga at immune system.

Regular Screening: Mas mabilis ang paggaling kapag maagang natukoy!

🚨 Ano ang Dapat Gawin?
1. Kapag may sintomas (ubo ng 2+ linggo, lagnat, pawis sa gabi, pagbagsak ng timbang): Pumunta agad sa RHU, Chest Clinic, o HIV Hub para magpa-test.

2. Kapag nasa gamutan: Sundin ang oras ng pag-inom at huwag ititigil ang gamot.

3. Para sa Pamilya: Magpa-screen din (contact tracing) at magpakita ng suporta. Libre ang gamot sa DOH at PhilHealth!

Tigilan ang TB. Suportahan ang PLHIV. 🤝✨

🫁 Bakit itinuturing na "Deadly Duo" ang TB at HIV? 🎗️

1️⃣ Pinahihina ng HIV ang immune system: Dahil sa pagbaba ng CD4 cells, 15-20x mas mabilis magkaroon ng Active TB ang taong may HIV.
2️⃣ Opportunistic Infection ang TB: Nananamantala ito kapag mahina ang katawan, kaya ito ang #1 sanhi ng pagkakasakit at pagpanaw ng mga PLHIV.

⚠️ Epekto ng TB-HIV Co-infection:
Mas mahirap i-diagnose: Kailangan ng mas accurate na test tulad ng GeneXpert.
Mas mabilis lumala: Madaling kumalat sa ibang organo (Extrapulmonary TB).
Puwede nitong paunlarin ang HIV: Nagpapataas ng viral load at nagpapababa pa ng CD4 cells.

Pag-unawa sa 3 Stages ng Paglala ng HIV

Ang Pagkakahati ng 3 Stages:
🔹 Stage 1: Window Period (Hanggang 3 Buwan)
Nasa loob na ng katawan ang virus, ngunit maaaring hindi pa matukoy ng mga karaniwang pagsusuri (standard tests) ang mga antibody. Ang regular na pagpapatingin ay tumutulong upang matiyak ang tumpak na resulta sa paglipas ng panahon.

🔹 Stage 2: Asymptomatic Phase (2 hanggang 10 Taon)
Maaaring magmukha at makaramdam ng buong kalusugan ang isang tao nang walang anumang sintomas, ngunit ang virus ay patagong nagpaparami at unti-unting nagpapahina sa immune system.

🔹 Stage 3: Symptomatic Phase / Advanced HIV Disease (AHD)
Ang pinakamalalang yugto kung saan ang immune system ay lubha nang mahina, dahilan upang maging madaling kapitan ang katawan ng mga opportunistic infection at iba pang malalalang sakit.

“Ano ang PrEP at PEP?”

❤️ PrEP? PEP? Ano ba ang difference?

Both can help prevent HIV, pero magkaiba sila ng purpose.

💊 PrEP — Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis
Para sa HIV-negative individuals who may have ongoing risk of HIV exposure. Ini-inom ito before possible exposure as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

🚨 PEP — Post-Exposure Prophylaxis
Para naman sa possible HIV exposure na nangyari na. Kailangan itong ma-start as soon as possible, ideally within hours and no later than 72 hours after exposure.

Hindi kailangang mahiya magtanong. Knowing your options is part of taking care of your sexual health. 🫶
