In collaboration with the City Health Office of Santo Tomas, the program prioritizes children aged 6โ€“59 months to strengthen their immunity and help prevent the spread and rapid outbreaks of measles and rubella.

Bilang pakikiisa sa Cleft Awareness Month, nagsagawa ang St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) ng Lay Forum para sa Cleft Lip at Cleft Palate Awareness noong Hulyo 29, 2026, upang mapalawak ang kaalaman ng komunidad tungkol sa kahalagahan ng maagang pagtukoy at agarang pagpapagamot sa mga batang ipinapanganak na may cleft.

Dumalo sa forum sina Khitz Mayuga, Program Manager ng Smile Train; Romel C. Quiatchon, Pangulo ng Rotary Club of Tanauan and Sto. Tomas; mga doktor, dentista, nars, at mga Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) mula sa mga lokal na pamahalaan ng Santo Tomas at Malvar.

Ibinahagi ni Dr. Florentino T. Afable, DMD, MBA, FPADPH, FICD ang layunin ng Smile Train na makapagbigay ng libreng operasyon sa mga batang may cleft. Samantala, ipinaliwanag ni Dr. Wilma De Guzman-Bato, MD, FPPS, FPCMNP na ang breastfeeding ang pinakamabisang paraan upang matugunan ang pangangailangang nutrisyon ng sanggol na may cleft condition.

In support of the 52nd National Nutrition Month, the employees and physicians of St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC), together with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Santo Tomas and the Tanauan Medical Society, headed by Dr. Leah Divina M. De Las Llagas, participated in a tree-planting and nurturing activity on July 28, 2026, at the Buffer Zone of the Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve, Brgy. San Miguel, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

During the activity, 100 seedlings of coffee, cashew, and guyabano were planted to help restore and protect the area's natural environment. The initiative also highlighted the importance of working together to care for the communities and ecosystems that sustain us.

Last July 24, 2026, as part of the 28th Anniversary celebration of St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center with the theme, "Kasama Mo sa Kalusugan," and in celebration of Nutrition Month, the SFCMC Clinical Nutrition Unit brought everyone together for an exciting and educational game of "๐—™๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜† ๐—™๐—ฒ๐˜‚๐—ฑ: ๐—ก๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป."

Representatives from the Nursing, Ancillary, Outpatient, and Administrative Departments competed in a fun, friendly, and educational game that tested their knowledge of nutrition, healthy habits, and trending food choices. Adding to the excitement were Dr. Malen Gellido, Medical Director and Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Danna Torres, Head of Patient Safety and Quality; Dr. Philip Madrid, IM ACOD; and Dr. Erol Quiatchon, P*P, who joined the game and made the event even more enjoyable and memorable for everyone.

More than just a competition, the event promoted healthy living, teamwork, and continuous learning in a fun and interactive way, inspiring everyone to make healthier choices every day.

Learning does not end in the classroomโ€”it is a lifelong commitment, especially in healthcare, where continuous education leads to better patient outcomes. Guided by this principle, St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) supported the Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Summit held on July 26, 2026, to strengthen the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in delivering quality care to patients with chronic kidney disease. The event was well attended by 190 participants comprising patients, caregivers, barangay health workers, doctors, and nurses.

Organized by the Philippine Society of Nephrology in collaboration with Dr. Christina Erika Basilan, the summit gathered doctors and nurses from different hospitals. Topics included shared decision making (SDM), PD prescription, catheter insertion and care, complication management, infection prevention, multidisciplinary collaboration, nursing support, patient empowerment, and future initiatives to further improve PD services. By deepening their understanding of these areas, healthcare professionals are better equipped to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

The summit also brought together Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from the local government units of Santo Tomas, Tanauan, Malvar, and Calamba. They received orientation and education on Chronic Kidney Disease, including treatment options available such as kidney transplant, hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis. The event empowers patients with their right to choose home therapy and the ability to participate in meaningful and valued life activities through peritoneal dialysis.

They also participated in hands-on demonstrations on peritoneal dialysis. These sessions aimed to strengthen community awareness and enable BHWs to educate and guide patients more effectively.

St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center has renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB) in support of the Enhanced Hospitalization Programme (eHOPE).

Through this partnership, eligible UPLB faculty members, Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS), and administrative personnel may continue to avail of financial assistance for hospitalization expenses incurred during confinement.

The renewed agreement reaffirms the shared commitment of St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center and UPLB to help ease the financial burden of medical care and ensure greater access to quality healthcare services for university employees.
