Capiz State University (CAPSU) Sigma Satellite College implements a four-day compressed work week (CWW) starting Academic Year 2026–2027. This aligns with national policies on flexible work arrangements and recent civil service guidelines on efficiency and employee welfare (CSC Resolution No. 2200209), and with the CAPSU Memo Order 2026-07-3047 which stipulates the “Implementation of the Revised Work and Class Schedule effective August 3, 2026” issued and signed by the University President Dr. Efren L. Linan.

Under the new schedule, teaching and non-teaching personnel will render 10 hours of work per day for four days, completing the mandatory 40-hour workweek required for government employees under Civil Service Commission (CSC) rules.

In particular, teaching personnel and students meet from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM during regular days (no holiday). In the event that there is holiday that falls within the workweek, the schedule reverts to the traditional five-day schedule of 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In this eventuality, the first and last class periods will be adjusted, with some content delivered through modular or asynchronous learning to ensure instructional quality and manage student fatigue.

Meanwhile, for the non-teaching personnel, the gliding schedule is followed. Non-teaching personnel may time in from 7:00 to 7:30 AM, and may time out from 6:00 to 6:30 PM, as long as they meet the 10-hour work per day. This schedule is observed on regular days but goes back to 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM whenever there is a holiday on that particular workweek.

Also consistent with CSC guidelines, the 10-hour daily work period excludes the 1-hour lunch break, ensuring that employees still complete 40 hours of actual work per week.

CAPSU Sigma’s shift to a compressed work week is actually not only about compliance. It is also a practical response to the rising fuel and transportation costs, traffic congestion, energy conservation, and work-life balance among employees in the academic community.

📢 PREPARATION FOR INDUSTRY IMMERSION | MEDICAL REQUIREMENT

As part of the preparations for the upcoming Industry Immersion, all 4th Year students from the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) program are required to undergo the necessary medical laboratory assessment before their deployment to their respective industries.

The CAPSU Sigma School Clinic will facilitate this requirement to ensure that all students are medically assessed and cleared and that the necessary laboratory requirements are completed and verified before their deployment to their respective industry partners.

🕐 PM: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

🔬 IMPORTANT: All students are reminded to bring ALL their laboratory results and other required documents for assessment and verification. Please follow your assigned schedule and arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

FIRST STEP FOR ENROLLMENT.

TO ALL FIRST YEAR AND TRANSFER STUDENTS!

1. Get your Laboratory Request Form from the CAPSU Sigma Clinic or download a copy.

2. Proceed to any laboratory center of your choice for your required laboratory tests and drug test.

3. After receiving your results, proceed to your Health Center, RHU, or preferred physician for consultation and ask for a Medical Certificate.

4. Please photocopy all medical requirements and submit them to the CAPSU Sigma Clinic for the issuance of your Enrollment Slip.

4. Place all the required documents in a long brown envelope before submission.

Required Requirements:✅ Laboratory Results✅ Drug Test Result, X-ray Result ✅ Medical Certificate, 1pc 2x2 recent photo & 1 long brown envelop.
