We are grateful for the successful completion of our Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Training held on September 4–6, 2026 at the DSWD Academy, Taguig City! 💙

Over three meaningful days, professionals came together to deepen their understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and its practical application in real-world settings.

💡 KEY INSIGHTS FROM THE TRAINING

CBT reminds us that meaningful change begins with understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

✔️ Not every behavior is simply “bad behavior”—there is often a thought, emotion, experience, or underlying need behind it.

✔️ Effective intervention requires more than identifying a problem. It requires helping individuals recognize patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and develop healthier ways of responding.

✔️ Therapeutic skills must be practical. Professionals need tools that can be translated from the classroom into actual client interactions and interventions.

✔️ Empathy and evidence-based practice go hand in hand. Understanding the person behind the behavior allows professionals to provide interventions that are both compassionate and purposeful.

✔️ CBT is not simply about changing thoughts—it is about helping people develop better coping strategies, healthier behaviors, and more adaptive ways of navigating life's challenges.
