Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc., Clinical Laboratory Celebrates Medical Technologist Week 2026! 🔬

We proudly opened our 2-Day Mini Expo at the hospital lobby, bringing the Clinical Laboratory into an open space where everyone can see, appreciate, and learn more about the work we do behind every laboratory result. 🧬

From Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microscopy, Immunology/Serology, and Phlebotomy, each section showcased the important role we play in patient care, from receiving specimens to producing accurate and reliable results. 🔬🧪

We also featured the wonders we see under the microscope, giving everyone the opportunity to view blood smears and other laboratory specimens while learning about what they reveal and why these tests are important in patient care. 🔬🩸

This celebration is more than just an exhibit,it is a chance to bring our laboratory closer to the community and show the people behind the results, the work we do, and the passion we put into every test.

Because behind every result is a Medical Technologist dedicated to accuracy, quality, compassion, and patient safety. 🧪

Breastfeeding Awareness Month Celebration

In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc joins the advocacy in promoting the importance of breastfeeding and supporting mothers in providing the best nutrition and protection for their babies.

As part of this meaningful celebration, giveaways are being distributed to breastfeeding and postpartum mothers as a simple gesture of appreciation, encouragement, and support for their breastfeeding journey.

Through this activity, we aim to strengthen breastfeeding awareness, encourage mothers to continue breastfeeding, and remind everyone that breastfeeding is a gift of love, nourishment, and protection that a mother can give to her child.

LCHI celebrated the Infection Prevention Awareness Week and Surgical Infection Prevention Awareness day 2026 last July.
The IPC Committee and OR/DR Complex prepared interactive booths for patients, watchers, and employees to enjoy. The booths were packed with games that made awareness about infection prevention fun & impactful for everyone.

Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc. Nutrition Month Celebration 🏛️🌿🌾

In celebration of the 52nd Nutrition Month, Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc. rolled out community and in-house health activities guided by the national themes “Sa PPAN, Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” and the subtheme: “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan.”

Here is a quick recap of our health and nature initiatives:

🥖 July 16 – Nutribun Distribution & In-Patient Health Talks
We kicked off by distributing nutrient-packed Nutribuns to our hospital staff and patients. Our team also conducted bedside visits to share the health benefits of the Nutribuns, while setting aside a batch for the next day's community outreach.

🌳 July 17 – Community Outreach at Lambsaboy, Lake Sebu
We traveled to Lambsaboy to deliver the Nutribuns to students, parents, and children. Alongside the distribution, our team led activities focused on long-term health and the environment:

🟢 Fruit Tree Planting & Vegetable School Gardening
🟢 Handwashing Demonstration & Soap Distribution
🟢 Go, Grow, Glow Food Lecture (Visual-based learning for families)

🌱 July 21 – Seedling & Fresh Banana Distribution Drives
We wrapped up our series of activities back at the hospital focusing on green spaces and nutrition:

🔹 Morning: Distributed free seedlings to staff, patients, and visitors to encourage home gardening.
🔹 Afternoon: Distributed fresh, raw green bananas to everyone in the hospital and nearby community—perfect for taking home to ripen! 🍌🏠

The Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc. – Laboratory Department, under the Hospital Blood Transfusion Committee, proudly joined the celebration of National Blood Donors Month 2026 by showing appreciation to our blood donors and encouraging future blood donors to become part of this lifesaving cause.
As a simple token of gratitude and support, Blood Donor Shirts and Eco Bags were distributed to all OPD patients who availed of our laboratory services throughout the month, while supplies lasted.

This initiative served as a reminder of the importance of voluntary blood donation and recognized the generosity of individuals whose selfless acts helped save countless lives. Through this celebration, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting awareness, inspiring more people to donate blood, and supporting a safe and adequate blood supply for our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful celebration. Together, we continued to give hope, save lives, and make a difference.

𝗡𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

We recently gathered community health nurses and midwives from every barangay in the Municipality of Surallah to strengthen awareness on the growing need for advanced wound care in our communities.
Through this initiative, participants were equipped with essential knowledge on proper wound assessment and the critical role of timely referrals—ensuring better care and outcomes for patients.
This program aims to support individuals suffering from various types of wounds by improving access to informed and responsive care at the community level.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jo Palomata for leading the team and serving as the resource speaker during this meaningful activity.
