Empowering Schools Through Scoliosis Awareness and Adolescent Health
On July 9–10, 2026, the Scoliosis Awareness Program was successfully conducted for educators from Anao-aon Central Elementary School, San Nicholas High School of Anao-aon, Inc., and San Francisco National High School.
The program was spearheaded by Dr. Diana L. Nebria, who delivered lectures on scoliosis awareness and emphasized the importance of early detection. Our Physical Therapist, Ms. Nellen Y. Yadao, also discussed the vital role of physical therapy in the assessment and management of scoliosis.
The activity was further enriched by an insightful Adolescent Health Education lecture by Dr. Cosnarie E. Seguis, highlighting the importance of adolescent health and the crucial role of schools and educators in fostering healthy lifestyles among students.
We also gratefully acknowledge the participation of the Family Medicine residents—Dr. Edgar Camus, Dr. Donna Lyn Celeste, Dr. Maria Lourdes Eguna, and Dr. Mary Grace Gallardo—whose support contributed to the success of this outreach initiative.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the administrators, faculty, and staff of the participating schools for their warm welcome, collaboration, and shared commitment to promoting student health and well-being.
Together, we continue to champion early detection, health education, and healthier communities—one school at a time.
