In light of the most recent 7.8m earthquake that affected large portions of Mindanao, SOAR Samaritans is once again opening its free Disaster Preparedness Virtual Learning Sessions. We will have 2 schedules this June, and most likely 2 more in July.

Session dates:
- 20 June 2026, Saturday 1300H - 1700H (1-5PM)
- 27 June 2026, Saturday 1300H - 1700H (1-5PM)

You can register using the QR Code I've shared below. You will be receiving an email confirming your registration. Deadline for registration is 12 noon on 29 June 2026 and 26 June 2026.

We only have limited slots in Zoom, so please attend once you receive your confirmation.

Note: Those requesting a Certificate of Attendance will be required to pay a fee of P300.00. The P300.00 will become part of the Fundraising project for the earthquake victims in Socckscargen

HELP EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN SOCCSKARGEN!

In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck parts of SOCCSKARGEN, many families have been left homeless, hungry, and in urgent need of assistance. Homes have been damaged, livelihoods disrupted, and countless individuals are now struggling to rebuild their lives.

SOAR is mobilizing relief operations to deliver essential food packs and emergency supplies directly to affected communities. Each food pack contains rice, canned goods, noodles, coffee, and drinking water—basic necessities that can help a family get through the difficult days ahead.

We humbly ask for your support.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in bringing hope and relief to those affected. The more resources we receive, the more families we can reach and help.

The SOAR Deployable Response Group (SOAR DRG) is now accepting applications for Class HIRAYA 2026-B, our newest generation of SOAR Samaritans—ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things in service of others.

Whether you are a student, professional, entrepreneur, government employee, homemaker, retiree, or simply someone with a heart to serve, there is a place for you in SOAR.

We are seeking individuals who possess not only courage and commitment, but also the compassion to help complete strangers during their most difficult moments.

For more than a decade, SOAR has responded to disasters, emergencies, humanitarian missions, and rescue operations across the Philippines. Our dedication to service was recognized through the prestigious Gawad Kapayapaan Award from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and we continue to serve as a proud partner of the Training Command (TRACOM), Philippine Army.

But awards and recognition are not what define us.

We are defined by every life saved.
Every family reunited.
Every community helped.
Every volunteer who chose service over comfort.

WORLD-CLASS TRAINING. NO TRAINING FEES.
Every accepted volunteer will undergo intensive training from experienced instructors and practitioners.

Depending on your chosen path and qualifications, you may receive training in:

🌊 Swift Water Search and Rescue (WASAR)
🚑 Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
🩺 Basic First Aid, CPR, AED & Bleeding Control
🏕️ Wilderness First Responder
🏢 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR)
🛡️ Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
🚨 Disaster Response and Humanitarian Operations

Our programs are delivered by instructors trained and certified under globally recognized standards, including the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and CoTECC, ensuring that our volunteers receive practical, field-tested, and internationally aligned emergency response training.

CHOOSE YOUR CALLING:
If you want to become an Emergency Medical Responder, we will train you.
If you want to become a Swift Water Rescue Operator, we will train you.
If you want to operate in high-threat environments and tactical medical response, we will train you.
If you simply want to serve your community during emergencies and disasters, we will prepare you.

No prior experience is required. What matters most is your willingness to learn and your commitment to serve.

Flood Rescue Operator Training is a 5-day Course. The dates are as follows: 27 - 28 June 2026 for Swimming Skills Assessment and Qualification, and 17 -29 July for River Runners on-site training.

There comes a defining moment when an organization looks beyond what it has done and asks, Who are we becoming?

For years, SOAR Deployable Response Group has answered the call during disasters, emergencies, and times of uncertainty. We walked through floodwaters, carried the injured, searched for the missing, comforted the grieving, and stood beside communities in their darkest moments. We came as volunteers — ordinary people willing to give time, strength, and sacrifice so others may live.

But through every mission, we discovered something greater than volunteerism. We discovered the heart of a Samaritan.

Today, SOAR Deployable Response Group begins a new chapter.

We are no longer simply SOAR Volunteers. We rise as SOAR SAMARITANS.

This is more than a new tagline; it reflects who we have become.

A Samaritan is not defined by rank, profession, age, or status, but by the courage to move toward suffering when others walk away. To choose compassion over indifference, service over comfort, and hope over fear.

To be a SOAR Samaritan is not only to save lives, but to restore dignity, strengthen courage, and remind people they are not alone.

Today, we open our doors to all — students, professionals, workers, parents, retirees, and people from every walk of life — anyone willing to care, learn, and serve something greater than themselves.
