Did you know that PhilHealth provides an Optometric Benefit Package for eligible children 0–15 years old?

Through this benefit, eligible children may receive up to ₱2,500 per case/year, which can be availed once every year per eligible child, subject to the applicable PhilHealth guidelines and clinical evaluation.

🌟 WHAT DOES THE BENEFIT COVER?

👁️ Vision Assessment including Refraction
A comprehensive eye and vision examination to assess your child’s visual needs and determine the appropriate prescription.

👓 Prescription Eyeglasses
Including regular frames and appropriate lenses covered by the package.

📅 Follow-up Consultation
For continued monitoring and appropriate follow-up of your child’s vision.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 WHO CAN AVAIL?

PhilHealth members and their qualified dependents aged 0–15 years old.

The benefit supports access to essential primary eye care and complements the goal of Universal Health Care (UHC)—helping make quality eye care more accessible to Filipino families.

FROM SCREENING TO BETTER VISION

Children who are identified through school vision screening, Konsulta Package Providers (KPPs), or other PhilHealth-accredited facilities as needing further assessment may be referred to a PhilHealth-accredited optical clinic for appropriate eye and vision assessment.

This also supports the objectives of the National Vision Screening Program (NVSP) in promoting early detection and appropriate management of vision problems among children.
