APD is characterised by transepidermal elimination of collagen or elastic fibers, forming this nodules. Condition is strongly linked to chronic renal failure. Mostly seen in dialysis patients. It is also associated with other medical conditions too.

Patients usually complain of intense pruritus.

Sharing for awareness. This is not an "allergy" but a contagious skin infection caused by a gram positive bacteria. This bacteria doesn't just affect the skin, eyes and nose but can damage the nerves also.

The condition can be easily mistaken as other skin problems, usually as an "allergy". Not all "red rash" is an allergy. It could be something else.
