Starting 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, we will be removing the additional evening emergency consultation fee for appointments between 7:30 PM and 10:00 PM. This means that whether your pet needs care for a minor issue or you're just looking for peace of mind later in the evening, you won’t have to worry about extra charges during that time.

ADVH Kicks off Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery Training and Workshop🐾

Animal Doctors Veterinary Hospital recently hosted a Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery Workshop on March 11 at the ADVH Tagum Branch, bringing together veterinarians from all ADVH branches.

Participants engaged in practical sessions began with insightful discussions followed by collaborative case-based learning and hands-on wet laboratory exercises, providing opportunities to enhance clinical skills, refine surgical approaches and advance expertise in soft tissue surgery.

This is just the beginning of ADVH’s veterinary skills advancement initiatives, with more learning opportunities ahead through upcoming workshops across other veterinary specialties and uphold the highest standards of care in small animal practice.

Traumatic Bilateral Mandibular Fracture Repair in a 9-year-old Dog🐶

Meet Sasha, a 9-year-old Shih Tzu-Poodle who recently endured a terrifying ordeal. Sasha reportedly got out of their property and was attacked by multiple dogs. She was rushed to our facility with oral hemorrhaging, multiple bite wounds to her head, and a severely damaged mandible (lower jaw).

Radiograph findings show the extent of the trauma: bilateral mandibular fractures on the mandible area (breaks on both the left and right sides of her lower jaw). Our Senior Surgeon, Dr. John Dexter, assisted by Dr. Vee Jay, performed a reconstructive surgery using bone and plate screw fixation to stabilize the fractured area and restore normal dental occlusion.

Post-operative radiographs show good alignment and secured placement of the implants. Sasha is currently admitted for close monitoring and pain management until she is ready to be discharged.

Accidents can happen in an instant. We commend Sasha’s owner for their prompt intervention, which gave her the best possible chance at a successful recovery💙
