The successful Mobile Blood Donation Activity held last July 28, 2026 in Barangay Macopa, Talisayan was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Barangay Council, led by Barangay Chairman Alberto Paculba, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Gingoog Chapter.

2nd Quarter Local Health Board Meeting

The Rural Health Unit of Talisayan successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Local Health Board Meeting, presided over by Mayor Ciriaco A. Talines, who delivered the opening remarks and reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to advancing quality healthcare services for every Talisaynon. Dr. Gay B. Ardanas facilitated the roll call for quorum and the approval of the previous meeting minutes.

The Board discussed and deliberated on key health priorities, including:

✅ Endorsement and approval of the 2026 Accredited Barangay Health Workers (BHWs)
✅ RHU staffing updates, including the Plantilla position for the Program Management Officer, Casual Pharmacy Aide, and the filling of two vacant Rural Health Midwife positions
✅ Presentation of the current health situation by the MOPH Talisayan
✅ Updates on Smoke-Free Operation Buklas in compliance with Smoke-Free Ordinance No. 724-2008
✅ DMO updates, including the implementation of Purok Kalusugan in every barangay
✅ Renewal of the MOA with JB Pharma for PhilHealth accreditation
✅ Proposed ordinances on Immunization, HIV/AIDS, and Adolescent Health
✅ Integration of health priorities and budget into the Local Investment Plan for Health (LIPH), Annual Operations Plan (AOP), FHSIS, Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (ESU), and DRRM-H

The meeting concluded with the closing remarks of Hon. Joveline B. Asuncion, Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson on Health, emphasizing the continued collaboration among local leaders and health partners in strengthening public health programs and ensuring accessible, quality healthcare services for all.

Empowering the youth, building a brighter future!

Pangpangon Elementary School successfully conducted its School-to-School Campaign with the theme, "Kabatan-onan: Atong Kaugmaon, Atong Amumahon" and the tagline "Batan-on Lig-on, ug Responsableng Talisaynon."

The activity equipped students with essential knowledge through meaningful discussions on RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) by the PNP Talisayan representative, Teenage Pregnancy Prevention by Midwife assigned in Pangpangon Lady Vette Cubillas and DOH-deployed Nurse Ms. Christine Opena, and RA 10627 (Anti-Bullying Act)by the MSWD representative.

Through collaboration and education, we continue to empower our youth to become responsible, resilient, and value-driven individuals.

A Proud Milestone for the Municipality of Talisayan!

The Municipality of Talisayan proudly celebrates its recognition as a Grade 1 Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Municipality during the awarding ceremony held on June 26, 2026, at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

Likewise, the barangays of Poblacion, San Jose, and Mintabon were also recognized as Grade 1 Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Barangays, a testament to their dedication in promoting sanitation, hygiene, and public health.

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the steadfast leadership and unwavering support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ciriaco A.
