The Municipal Health Office of TALUSAN headed by Dr. Fidel V. Pondevida Jr.,MD, MPH, successfully conducted an Orientation and Coordination Meeting on School-Based Immunization (SBI) 2026 earlier today at Talusan District Office, Talusan Center Elementary School.

The activity gathered principals and school heads from 17 public schools across Talusan Municipality to strengthen collaboration and ensure the successful implementation of the 2026 School-Based Immunization campaign.

The orientation was facilitated by Nurse Prince Regie C. Tolorio, RN, MAN, the Health Education and Promotion Officer as well as the National Immunization Program Coordinator, presented the 2025 Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) and Measles-Rubella (MR) immunization accomplishments for Grades 1 and 7 across the Zamboanga Peninsula, highlighting Talusan's commendable immunization coverage.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the MHO Talusan and the Department of Education to safeguard the health of learners through strong partnership and coordinated efforts. The School-Based Immunization 2026 campaign is scheduled to be implemented this August in all schools targeting all eligible learners for routine immunization.

𝙍𝙇𝙀𝘿 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩

The Regulations, Licensing and Enforces Division (RLED) of the Department of Health- Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD IX) visited and conducted a it's Annual monitoring and evaluation to Talusan Rural Health Unit as Accredited Primary Care Facility last August 5, 2026.

The RLED team monitored accredited Licenses of Talusan Rural Health Unit namely:
✅Birthing Facility (BEMONC)
✅Ambulance Service Provider (ASP)
✅Primary Care Facility (PCF)

this year's monitoring focuses on the licences, services, personnel , physical Set up along with presentation of the documents and policies.

An open forum and feedbacking was done after the monitoring and evaluation wherein the team gave a positive feedback in the licenses.

The Municipal Health Office together with the Municipal Local Government Unit of Talusan conducted it's 3rd Quarter Local Health Board Meeting for C.Y. 2026 dated July 24, 2026

This activity aims to Strengthen the health service delivery by identifying the setbacks and challenges as well as the success indicators that contributes in the desirable outcome in the implementation of the Health Programs in the community.

This is made posible by the strong involvement and commitment of the MLGU and BLGU of the Municipality of Talusan.

We are proud to announce the overwhelming success of our recent blood donation drive held last July 30, 2026.

Thanks to the incredible response from our community, we successfully registered 221 donors. These donations will go directly toward supporting patients in need and strengthening local healthcare resources.
