Now is not the time to pull back support for LGBT people’s health and rights around the world. We have learned from AIDS and other pandemics, abandoning groups where it is morally or politically expedient to do so is not only wrong but dangerous to public health.

To protect the remarkable progress against AIDS, and to finally end it, governments must support all those in need of HIV prevention and treatment services, including the LGBT community, as we contend with a growing wave of hate.

STOP HIV STIGMA ! ! !

Stigma causes more pain than HIV itself.
Every day, people living with HIV face judgment, rejection, and discrimination—not because of who they are, but because of their diagnosis. This must end.
HIV is just one part of a person’s life—it doesn’t define them.
They are parents, siblings, friends, coworkers. They have dreams, careers, families, and hopes—just like anyone else.
Stigma does more than isolate—it destroys confidence, breaks families apart, and forces people into silence.
But change is possible—and it begins with you.
Choose compassion. Share the truth. Stop the judgment.
Be the reason someone feels seen, not shamed.

End stigma. End HIV. Together, we can.

Lately, there have been multiple online posts making jokes related to HIV. While we may want to bring fun and laughter to others, we must ensure that this does not come at the expense of stigmatizing a part of community.

Making jokes about their reality doesn’t make anything better. Let’s choose kindness, break the stigma, and remember that everyone has their own story.
