“FOUR YEARS AGO, EVEN SIMPLE WALKING WAS PAINFUL.”

Because of severe arthritis in both hips, Mr. Sael struggled with everyday movement and could no longer enjoy life the way he used to. Long walks, family trips, and even ordinary daily activities became difficult because of constant pain.

Today, 4 years after his bilateral total hip replacement, he is pain-free, walking well, and making more memories with his family again.

Stories like this remind us that treatment is not only about relieving pain. It’s about helping people move freely again and return to the moments that matter most.

For many patients with severe hip arthritis, there is still hope for a better quality of life.

Very grateful to everyone who joined our FREE Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Screening together with Getz Pharma and BodyWell Studio and Physical Therapy Center last Friday.

It was heartening to see many patients take time to check their bone health and seek early evaluation when needed. Thank you as well to the staff and everyone who helped make this community health initiative possible. 🙏

Maraming “bone setter” o "hilot" ang hindi naman lisensyadong doktor at walang tamang training. Kahit parang gumagaan sa simula, puwede itong magdulot ng seryosong problema tulad ng infection, deformity, o permanent disability. Delikado ito at labag sa batas.

Kung may bali, pilay, o problema sa buto at kasukasuan, mas mabuting magpatingin sa orthopedic surgeon. Mas maagang tamang gamutan, mas iwas komplikasyon at mas maayos ang paggaling.

❓ Confused about when you need a certificate of disability for a PWD ID application?

Here’s a quick guide from the Philippine Orthopaedic Association to help you understand when it’s necessary to see an orthopedic specialist.

✅ Some physical disabilities are obvious and don’t require certification.
📄 But if the condition isn’t visibly apparent, your orthopedic surgeon may need to evaluate and issue a certificate.
⚠️ Scoliosis, for example, isn’t automatically considered a disability.

Still unsure? Consult your orthopedic doctor for proper assessment.
