A little early, but safely delivered. ❤️
One of the most challenging parts of being an OB GYN is knowing when it is safer for a baby to be born early rather than continue the pregnancy.
At 35 weeks, Mommy developed uncontrolled high blood pressure, and baby started showing late decelerations signs that baby was no longer tolerating the situation well.
We were able to give one dose of steroids for baby’s lung maturity, but we couldn’t wait any longer. For the safety of both Mommy and baby, an emergency CS was done.
Baby may be a little early, but sometimes, the safest place for baby is already in our arms. 🥹❤️
So happy to see you both safe. Congratulations, Baby Girl Balanza 🙏🏻🫶🏼
Finally, she’s home🙏🏻
