How Does Responsive Feeding Work?

Responsive feeding, or feeding on demand, means feeding your baby whenever they show signs of hunger.

It begins in infancy and is associated with desirable growth outcomes.

Recognize early hunger cues like
👶 Opening their mouth
👶 Turning their head side to side
👶 Sticking their tongue in and out
👶 Sucking on their hands or fists

Crying and restlessness are late hunger cues.

Practice responsive feeding. Don’t wait for your baby to cry.

Respond to their early hunger cues. 💖
