Story time.

“Shet beh. Hindi ba pseudomembrane yan? Mukhang Diphtheria ’to.” 😭

Unang tanong ko sa nanay:

“Nay, may bakuna po ba?”

Sagot niya:

“Dra, wala po. Kahit isa.”

Imagine that.

Eventually, nag-arrest yung bata.

Everyday, nagtutusok kami ng Penicillin G for 7–10 days. 😭

Kaya kapag sinasabi ng iba na:

“Choice ko naman kung magpapabakuna ako.”

I understand that vaccines involve personal decisions.

That experience as a resident never left me.

Vaccination isn’t just about protecting one child. It helps protect everyone around that child, too.

Because sometimes, one decision can create a domino effect far beyond what we imagined. ❤️

Love,
Doc Jen

📢 COVID-19 Advisory for Parents

COVID-19 continues to circulate in our communities, but current evidence shows that the circulating strains are not causing more severe illness than in recent years. Most children experience mild symptoms, though infants and children with underlying conditions remain at higher risk.

To help protect your family:
✅ Stay home if sick.
✅ Consider COVID-19 testing if symptoms develop.
✅ Wear a well-fitting mask when ill or in crowded indoor spaces.
✅ Avoid unnecessary crowds if unwell.
✅ Seek medical attention promptly for difficulty breathing, persistent high fever, dehydration, or worsening symptoms.

There is no need for alarm—continue practicing simple, effective precautions to keep our families and communities safe.
