Patient safety is everyone’s responsibility. 💙

In line with the upcoming World Patient Safety Day on September 17, the Cagayan United Doctors Medical Center (CUDMC) held an advance observance on September 7, 2026, highlighting the importance of keeping patients safe throughout their healthcare journey.

The activity included a discussion on the World Health Organization (WHO) World Patient Safety Day campaign, its objectives, and the significance of the annual observance. Ms. Marilyn Marallag also discussed essential Infection Control Measures that help prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.

Participants were also shown the Patient Safety Video, followed by a short lecture and demonstration by Mr. Glicerio Catuiran on the proper and safe use of wheelchairs.

These discussions and demonstrations are part of CUDMC’s continuing efforts to strengthen patient safety and promote quality care. More than just a campaign, it reflects what we stand for every day: Pasyente Muna, Pasyente Mauna. 💙

Because at CUDMC, every measure we take, every lesson we share, and every care we provide begins with putting the patient first.

Su***de prevention is not the responsibility of one person or one sector. It calls for all of us—individuals, families, communities, and healthcare institutions—to create spaces where people feel safe to speak, seek help, and know that they are not alone.

✅ Reach out. Check in on someone you care about and let them know you are there.

✅ Listen. Give people the space to talk without judgment. Sometimes, being heard is the first step toward getting help.

✅ Show kindness. A kind word, a little understanding, or a simple “Kumusta ka?” can go a long way.

✅ Seek support. Asking for professional help is a sign of courage, not weakness.

Hi dear Friends,
Good day!
As a new patient in this hospital, I am so glad to express my gratitude to everyone who had served me my concerns while I’m here.

First and foremost, to my attending physician, Dr. Honeylet Chan Reyes, who always gives me advices for my well-being.

Last Sat. evening of Aug., dito ko napansin ang mga employees sa ibaba (emergency room) until I was moved to this Rm. 4th floor 416. The moment I entered, napansin ko na po ang mga good attitudes.

Sorry to say then, that I can’t mention all your names to personally express my gratitude. So, I’m expressing it now on my simple note.

Here are the few but so nice and worth remembering employees to me:
Alert, kind, concern, friendly, neat, and caring and charming (maibigin tingin). Thus, while aches and problems surround me, these kind of attitudes from employees strengthen my mind and heart.

So dear friends, I say it again, pls accept my/our gratitude for all of your kindness and goodness towards me. May you continue to show that you’re called to serve sick people. Of all your clean hearts, mind and good intentions. I can see also, that you love your work… that you love CUDMC.

I’m sincerely addressing this note, that I do feel, see and observe, to you, all medical doctors, nurses, all attendees, nutritionists and janitors, you blessed my life with all your love and efforts. You enlighten my problem of failing health.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas this 2026 and a prosperous new year in 2027.
