Our "Handwashing Made Easy with Yuni" School Tour continues!
This time, our journey brought us to Gammad Elementary School, where we empowered young learners with one of the most important life-saving habits—proper hand hygiene.
As part of our continuing health education campaign across schools in the Municipality of Iguig, we are committed to teaching children that clean hands are the first line of defense against the spread of germs and infectious diseases.
During the session, students actively participated in learning the 7 steps of proper handwashing and discovered when handwashing is most important—before eating, after using the toilet, after coughing or sneezing, and after playing or touching frequently used surfaces. They also learned that washing hands with soap and clean running water for at least 40 to 60 seconds is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to stay healthy.
By reaching one school at a time, we hope to inspire every child to become a Hand Hygiene Champion—bringing these healthy habits not only to their classrooms but also to their homes and communities.
Together, let's continue building healthier schools and healthier futures, one clean hand at a time.
