Today, our hospital community comes together in prayer, gratitude, and faith, reminded that behind every act of care is God’s loving and gentle presence.

We lift our patients in prayer, asking for healing and hope; our healthcare workers, for strength, wisdom, and compassion; and our patients’ families, for comfort, peace, and courage. We also pray for everyone who serves, that God may renew their hearts and give them grace each day.

As we celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels, may our Guardian Angels continue to watch over, guide, and protect us in all that we do. May God’s light shine upon our hospital and strengthen our mission to serve with compassionate hearts, uphold every person’s dignity, and share love and kindness with all those entrusted to our care.

May we always be reminded that in every helping hand, every comforting word, and every act of kindness, we become instruments of God’s love.

Urdaneta District Hospital, through its Public Health Unit, successfully conducted a Rabies Awareness Seminar on September 28, 2026, promoting rabies prevention, proper animal bite management, and timely medical care.

We sincerely thank our resource speaker, Dr. Joselito C. Jacinto, Adult Infectious and Tropical Medicine Specialist, for sharing his expertise, and everyone who participated in making this activity a success.

Together, let’s promote responsible pet ownership and help protect our families and communities from rabies.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our esteemed orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Elmer M. Aviles.

Dr. Elmer was kind, gentle, and deeply compassionate, qualities that defined both his character and his practice. He treated every patient with warmth and genuine care. His soft-spoken manner and patient-centered approach brought comfort to those in pain and left a lasting impression on the many lives he touched.

To his colleagues, he was a steady presence, always ready to listen, offer guidance, and support others with the same gentleness he showed his patients. He led by quiet example, creating an atmosphere of respect and kindness that strengthened the entire UDH family.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Elmer’s beloved family. May you find peace in knowing how profoundly he was loved and how much his kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he served.

Tomorrow, Dr. Elmer will be brought to the UDH Conference Room for a final viewing from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, before the requiem mass and interment rites.

We warmly invite all members of the UDH community, staff, colleagues, and friends, to come and pay their last respects during this time.

Rest in peace, Dr. Elmer Aviles. Your gentle heart and compassionate hands will never be forgotten.

The nursing service of Urdaneta District Hospital convened a comprehensive quarterly meeting on September 16, 2026 with members of the hospital management. In attendance were Chief of Hospital Dr. Arnulfo Olivar, Chief Nurse Mr. Gerwin Caesar Macaranas, Chief of Clinics Dr. Adrian Carlo Lustina, and Administrative Officer Mrs. Monina Manangan. The session provided a valuable opportunity to align institutional priorities and advance strategies aimed at elevating the standard of care throughout the facility.

Discussions centered on several key areas, including the enhancement of patient and nursing care delivery, the strengthening of patient engagement and relations through careful review of client feedback, and the importance of collaborative healthcare practices across all teams. These discussions emphasized the essential role of empathy, compassion, and courtesy in ensuring the consistent provision of high-quality client-centered care.

Looking ahead, the management team presented prospective initiatives for UDH. These plans reaffirm our collective dedication to continuous improvement and to serving the community with professionalism and excellence.

Nagpapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng inyong mga komento at suhestiyon hinggil sa kamakailang post sa Facebook tungkol sa aming ospital. Ang mga feedback na ito ay nagsisilbing mahalagang gabay upang lalo naming mapabuti ang aming serbisyo at pangangalaga sa mga pasyente.

Kaugnay ng nasabing post at ng iba pang pahayag sa social media, nais po naming linawin ang mga sumusunod:

Una, agad kaming nakipag-ugnayan sa pasyente at naibigay na ang kaukulang serbisyo at atensyon. Malinaw na pinayuhan ng aming staff ang pasyente at ang kamag-anak nito na tumungo sa aming hospital pharmacy upang kumuha ng mga gamot. Gayunpaman, ibinigay ng kamag-anak ang reseta sa isa pang watcher na siyang nagpasyang bumili sa labas. Bilang bahagi ng aming serbisyo, kasama ang mga gamot sa free hospitalization program at sa out-patient services sa ilalim ng YAKAP/GAMOT program.

Pangalawa, may kakayahan ang aming ospital at aktwal na nagbibigay ng libreng CT Scan at Ultrasound para sa mga in-patient at ER patients.

Pangatlo, mariin po naming itinatanggi ang alegasyon na gumagamit kami ng “volunteer nurses” o volunteer staff. Ang lahat ng kawani sa aming pasilidad ay dumaan sa wastong proseso ng pagtanggap at sila ay mga empleyado ng Provincial Government of Pangasinan.

Patuloy po kaming nakatuon sa pagbibigay ng tapat, maayos, at de-kalidad na serbisyo para sa kalusugan ng bawat mamamayan.

In the midst of healing, caring, and serving, we pause to gather in faith and prayer.

This First Friday Mass reminds us that beyond medicine and treatment, there is always hope, compassion, and God’s presence guiding us through every journey.

We pray deeply for our patients. May God lay His healing hands upon them, easing their pain, restoring their health, and filling their hearts with peace, courage, and unwavering hope during their most difficult moments.

We lift up our dedicated healthcare workers—our doctors, nurses, staff, and caregivers. Lord, grant them physical strength when fatigue sets in, emotional resilience in moments of hardship, and grace as they tirelessly serve with compassionate hearts. Protect them, renew their spirits daily, and guide their minds and hands in every care they provide.

We also lift up in prayer our Provincial Government, its leaders, and public servants. May God grant them wisdom and discernment as they guide our province. Bless their efforts to continue programs that uplift the poor, strengthen our healthcare system, and foster peace and prosperity for every family. May their leadership that is rooted in selflessness and justice inspire the community towards a compassionate and dedicated service.

May we all continue to be instruments of healing, not only through our hands, but also through our prayers, kindness, and faith.

Urdaneta District Hospital joins the nation in celebrating Lung Month 2026 with the theme: "Hingang Ginhawa, Kapag Healthy ang Lungs.”

This celebration aims to promote awareness on the importance of maintaining healthy lungs and preventing respiratory diseases. It also encourages everyone to practice healthy habits, avoid smoking and va**ng, and seek proper medical care when needed.

Let us work together in promoting healthy lungs for a healthier community.
