Grief has a way of making every decision feel heavier. Choosing a casket, deciding on cremation or burial, picking a date for the wake, all of this is emotionally exhausting on its own. Adding financial stress on top of that isn't just inconvenient. It can cloud judgment during a time when families need to be thinking clearly, not scrambling.

This is one reason I always tell families to ask upfront what payment options a funeral home accepts. A reputable funeral home should be flexible enough to work with your situation, not just your wallet on the day of service.

Paying for a funeral shouldn't add financial panic to grief. Learn how credit cardholders can spread out funeral costs through installment program, and how Enriquez Funeral Homes in Villasis, Pangasinan makes it easy with secure BDO Checkout, letting you settle payment (in full or in installments) w...

It is with quiet sadness that the Cortez - Marquez family announces the passing of Flora Cortez Marquez, who peacefully departed this life on April 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 21, 1940, Flora spent much of her life in Brgy. Puelay, Villasis, Pangasinan, a place she knew by heart—every corner, every familiar face. She was a woman of gentle strength, steady in her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and known to many as someone who carried herself with grace, even on ordinary days.

Those who knew her will likely remember the little things—her quiet presence, the way she listened more than she spoke, and how she seemed to find comfort in simple routines. Life wasn’t always easy, but she bore it with patience, and perhaps even a kind of quiet acceptance that not everyone can manage. Family and friends now hold on to those memories, imperfect and real, the kind that linger long after conversations have ended.

Her remains lie in state at Chapel 1 of Enriquez Funeral Homes in Brgy. Puelay, Villasis, Pangasinan, where loved ones may come to pay their respects. Details regarding the interment will be shared by the family at a later time. In this difficult moment, the family gently asks for continued prayers and understanding, as they navigate this loss—one day at a time.

A mother’s love is quiet but unwavering, soft but unbreakable. Today, her children return that love with one final offering—simple, sincere, and filled with meaning.

This funeral setup is more than decoration. It is a child’s love made visible. Every flower, every light, every soft detail was chosen with care. The white Phalaenopsis speak of her gentle strength. The heart-shaped wreaths echo the warmth of her embrace. And at the center, her casket rests gracefully, surrounded by beauty and prayer, a reflection of the life she lived and the faith she held dear. Inside, a symbol of praying hands lies close, just like the many prayers she once whispered for her children.

This tribute is their way of saying thank you. Thank you for every sacrifice, every quiet act of love, every moment of grace.

Let this ensemble speak of the love that surrounded her in life, and the longing her passing now leaves behind.
