On June 29, 2026, ProCare Psychosocial Support Management Inc. successfully convened its Stakeholdersโ Meeting at the Tower 1 Multipurpose Hall, Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC), bringing together partner agencies to strengthen collaboration in mental health care.
ProCare is a community-based initiative of the ZCMC Department of Psychiatry dedicated to supporting caregivers and families of individuals with mental health conditions through psychosocial support, education, and community partnerships.
The meeting was formally opened by Dr. Nadia M. Paber, Department Chairman. Also in attendance were Dr. Afdal Kunting, Medical Center Chief; Dr. Sheila May Aduviso, Assistant Training Officer; Ms. Antonietta Escandar, Head of the Psychological Services Unit; and Mr. Rolf Marcus Villano.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued stakeholders from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Health (DOH), Philippine National Police (PNP), Commission on Human Rights (CHR), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for their unwavering support and commitment. Together, we identified priority needs, explored collaborative initiatives, and reaffirmed our shared vision of building an integrated network of care for individuals with mental health conditions, their families, and our communities.
The newly identified ProCare officers also took their Oath of Office, administered by Dr. Aduviso. The meeting concluded with the Stakeholdersโ Commitment Signing Ceremony, symbolizing our collective pledge to promote accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health services.
