Honoured to be invited as a Faculty Member at the Insulin Academy, contributing to the curriculum for a series of academic sessions on insulin management for GPs and medical specialists.
I also had the opportunity to participate as an expert in an Advisory Board meeting, where we discussed the important issue of delayed insulin initiation—why patients who clearly need insulin often wait too long due to barriers at both the patient and physician levels.
Looking forward to contributing to meaningful discussions that can help bridge these gaps and improve diabetes care.

Outstanding session on Obesity Management at KRL Hospital with a special focus on Semaglutide, delivered by Dr Kashif Raashid.
The session was followed by insightful presentations on the role of Semaglutide in MASLD (Fatty Liver Disease) by Dr Najmul Hassan Shafi Consultant Gastroenterologist, and its role in Chronic Kidney Disease by Dr Zahid Nabi Consultant Nephrologist.

I had the privilege of joining the discussion as a panelist, alongside Brig (R) Dr Amjad Salamat Gastroenterologist and Dr Sana Sharafat Bariatric and Vascular Surgeon .

We were honored to have Prof Shoaib Shafi, President CPSP as the Chief Guest.

Today was a tremendous and highly engaging scientific session at TRUST – Tirzepatide Review & Updates in Scientific Therapy, held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
I had the privilege of presenting on “Obesity Management Guidelines”, with a special emphasis on the evolving role of Tirzepatide in the management of obesity and its transformative impact on modern obesity care.

It was followed by an excellent presentation by Dr. Mohammad Ali Arif on the role of Tirzepatide beyond obesity and diabetes, highlighting its emerging benefits in Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD/fatty liver disease) and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
