We are pleased to announce that Dr. Smart Go, under the leadership of our founder Muhammad Ahsan Zafar, MD, MS-CTR, has signed a Document of Understanding (DoU) to collaborate with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)’s NUST School of Health Sciences - NSHS and its Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
We are eternally thankful to the Principal, NSHS, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ashraf, and the Head of the HND Department, Dr. Abdul Momin (Assoc. Prof. and HoD/Consultant Clinical Dietitian/Development Practitioner), for providing us with the opportunity for this meaningful and impactful collaboration.
NSHS, launched at NUST’s H-12 campus in Islamabad, offers undergraduate programmes in Human Nutrition & Dietetics and MBBS, shaping the next generation of Pakistan’s health and nutrition professionals.
Over the next five years, both institutions will:
📌 Run joint research and development projects across Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, and Health Promotion
📌 Give National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) students and faculty access to internships, research collaboration, capacity-building, and professional training with Dr. Smart GO
📌 Set up a Joint Committee to track and review collaboration activities
📌 Share technical and human resources for nutrition research and field surveys
📌 Co-develop need-based, demand-driven education and community health initiatives for Pakistan’s socio-economic development
The main aim of this initiative is about building the bridge between academic research and real-world nutrition practice.
