Lately, many people are carrying fear, grief, anger, and helplessness that don’t even come from their own lives.

When we’re repeatedly exposed to stories of violence, abuse, loss, and suffering, it can begin to affect how safe we feel in the world.

You may notice yourself becoming more anxious.
More worried about your loved ones.
More emotionally exhausted.
Or even numb.

This doesn’t mean you’re weak.

It means you’re human.

Empathy is beautiful, but without boundaries, it can become overwhelming.

🤍 How has all the news on social media been affecting you lately?

Have you ever noticed stress showing up in your body before you even realized you were stressed?

Maybe it’s the constant jaw clenching.

The headaches.

The tight shoulders.

The stomach discomfort.

Or that feeling of always being “on edge.”

We often think stress only affects the mind, but our bodies carry the burden too.

Sometimes what we call being “tired” is actually emotional exhaustion.
Sometimes what we call being “fine” is actually chronic stress.

The good news?

Your body isn’t working against you.

It’s communicating with you.

💭 If stress had a favorite place to live in your body, where would it be?

Mine would probably be the neck.

Sometimes healing isn’t about becoming a new person.

It’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that fear, stress, trauma, or depression made you hide.

For many people, healing doesn’t look dramatic.

It looks like laughing without guilt.
Trying something new.
Feeling present in a moment.
Allowing yourself to enjoy life without waiting for something bad to happen.

Because when you’ve spent a long time in survival mode, even joy can feel unfamiliar.

And one of the most beautiful parts of healing is realizing that you don’t have to stay in survival mode forever.

Healing is when joy starts to feel safe again.

What is something that has started feeling safe again for you?

Have you ever forgotten names, faces, appointments, or why you walked into a room?

Many people assume they’re becoming careless or forgetful.

But trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and depression can affect attention, concentration, and memory.

When the brain is busy trying to survive emotional overload, it has less energy available for processing and storing information.

Sometimes what looks like a memory problem is actually an overwhelmed nervous system.

💭 Have you noticed brain fog or forgetfulness during stressful periods of your life?

Where do you feel your emotions in your body? 🫀

Anxiety → stomachStress → shoulders / headSadness → chest / heavinessAnger → jaw / tension

Your body often speaks what your mind is trying to silence.

But here’s the question no one asks you enough:Do you notice it… or do you just push through it?

Tell me in the comments, where do you feel stress first in your body?

Tight chest. Heavy breathing. Racing heart.
“It’s just gas.”
And then they hand you a 7up. 😭🥤

Sometimes anxiety shows up physically before we even realize we’re overwhelmed.
Not every symptom is “just stress” or “just gas.” Your body speaks too. 🫀

Tag the friend who checks on everyone but nobody checks on them.

Therapists don’t just listen to words…
sometimes the smallest things say the most 👀

POV: you’re doing the communication, reassurance, emotional support… and somehow you still have to fix the argument too
Let me know if you relate to this🌚

“my therapist said you’re toxic.”

And suddenly one clinical opinion becomes a relationship weapon.

How can someone be falsely labelled without proper assessment?
Professional ethics including American Psychological Association guidelines emphasize:
• Do No Harm (Beneficence & Nonmaleficence)
• Competence
• Proper basis for professional opinions

Supporting a client should not mean diagnosing or attacking a partner who was never even assessed.

Sometimes therapy heals relationships.
Sometimes unethical validation quietly damages them.

Have you ever seen this happen?
