She wanted brighter skin… now she’s seeking treatment for facial hair, pigmentation and burning. 💔 In today’s OPD story, she shared a long history of using whitening creams, naming Golden Pearl and Faiza Beauty Cream.

⚠️ Tested products from both brands have been flagged for unsafe mercury levels. Some whitening “formula creams” also contain potent steroids. Mercury can harm internal organs and the nervous system, while prolonged steroid misuse on the face can cause:

• Excess facial hair
• Redness, burning and irritation
• Acne-like bumps
• Thin skin and visible blood vessels
• Changes in skin colour
• Flare-ups when stopped

Steroids are medicines not fairness treatments. Use them on your face ONLY when prescribed, for the advised duration. Avoid unlabelled “formula creams” and seek a dermatologist’s help if your skin is reacting.

Healthy skin matters more than fair skin. 🤍
